Wolf & Deer Spirits - Where the remains come from matters
All the way in end of November/start of December last year a very special spirit has came back to my practice and life. I've a familiar Wolf spirit that went away for at least a half a year for their personal reasons and I am very exited to share the news of their presence!
We have not interacted much before their departure and I am determined to fix that. I feel like I’ve interacted with them much more these few months than before they went away lol. We had a few very long but satisfying tarot conversations, the details of which I do not think I can share. Also obviously they got their good share of Holidays offering and I am currently, in the back of my head, trying to figure out how to make a necklace out of the wolf tooth I have (putting wire or strings of leather around it haven’t really worked well - it either grinds the tooth or it sits too loose in the weaving). If anyone has any ideas do shoot me an email, I’d really appreciate it.
Eventually, just like for the rest of my practice, I want to figure out a way to interact with them everyday. But that’s a question for a different day. Right now I’m just happy I finally have them near <3
And right before Christmas they low-key "spoiled" to me the contents my upcoming gift - I got a tuft of deer hide from my wife! I already suspected she'd buy it for me but Wolf spirit confirmed it essentially lol. They instructed me how to best set-up the space for the Deer spirit and now they're definitely here & present!
Deer spirit hasn't really talked much to me, mostly because I was giving spirit space to accommodate to new surroundings, so I wasn't initiating contact, besides a few times, but they weren't reaching out either.
Trigger warning: bones, mention of animal death
The time when they did talk, the answer I got had such a strong energy connection. I was going to go on a walk into the forest and asked the spirit if they'd like to walk with me (for me to take the tuft with me) and maybe they could help me out to find some goblin curiosities (bones or antlers for example). They agreed, and, I kid you not, I found my first, phenomenally clean deer jaw (@_@).
I wasn't sure, if I was supposed to take the deer jaw, because as my wife pointed out, it looked, energetically, "very specifically placed". But for the next 1-2 days, I'm not sure how much time passed, I couldn't stop thinking about the jaw. So at one evening I decided that we go early morning of next day for the jaw and if it's still there - I'm taking it. And to my delight it was there, unscathed, waiting.
What sued after were a few months of cleaning and treating the jaw, but it was so worth it. The details of that I'm planning to share in a separate blog post in personal section. I'm still not fully done with the jaw, but at this point, it's only cosmetical finishes. Deer spirit kindly agreed for me to leave one half of the jaw, with teeth and all intact, on their altar, as their vessel essentially, and the other half is for me to use however I please.
I already planned to use one teeth each to make devotional necklaces for Deer spirit and Artemis and the jaw piece I'm currently painting to become a handle for, well, something, in the future.
And you'd think that all the spirits who needed to come are already here, but apparently no, and I'm so happy that it was a no tbh.
A few days ago, in a general storage house that we share with a few neighbors, me and my wife found two absolutely stunning deer skulls on the wall. I asked her dad if he by any chance knows to whom they belong, because I'd like to try and mb buy them out, as, judging by that they're hanging far from human eyes, they're, most likely, not really loved. He, to my delight and excitement, informed me that these skulls predated even them buying the house and were hanging on that wall longer than any neighbor who's here now. Obviously the next morning they got snached by me and are now in my room.
I washed them with soap, and they were so well cleaned and whitened that it was the only thing really needed to be done. As soon as I finally found them their places in the room, I just felt such a wave of gentle, powerful, golden almost honey like energy from both of the skulls. I could feel and almost see with my Witch eye how the spirits were almost "cuddling" to me and being thankful for being taken out to light once more. It was so delightful that I'm not sure if I can even describe it in words. I didn't have time for it yet, but I'm so exited and delighted to chat with these Deer spirits. Unlike the first Deer spirit, who felt extraverted, colder and more closed off, these two feel like radiant warm honey.
I also wanted to note, perhaps obvious and logical, thought that has been proved to me by my recent spirit encounters.
Where the body's remains come from really matters in spirit connection
Other spirit that I've encountered during winter Holidays was a Fox spirit. I really wanted to have a tail fur charm, and I found two on the Christmas market at the stall where they sold other fur products, like coats and hats. There was a spirit attached to it, but by my tone you could guess that it wished to be let go. I gave them a farewell offering and ritual, hopefully, helping them untie their connection with the fur pieces. They weren't rude or disturbing, but clearly they were not happy with how their remains ended up. I wasn't planning on necessarily working with a fox spirit and was buying the fur just for decorative purpose, so honestly I am glad I was able to do this for the spirit.
I know I must be spelling out obvious things here, but I like seeing the confirmations of theoretical knowledge in my day to day. Don't forget to be ethical in the way of how you get your animal remains, not only because animal cruelty is bad, but also because it will impact your relationship with the spirit.
I already did so before, but now I'll be even more strict if I'll ever be buying any animal remains that I wish to connect with, that's for sure
